To me, style is in the details. A fabulous shoe. A great piece of Jewelry. A gorgeous pair of vintage sunglasses. A quirky handbag. These are things that tend to give an outfit that unmistakable flair. My wardrobe mainly consists of well cut basics in neutral colors, that flatter my figure, but don’t necessarily make a bold statement. I try to let my accessories do that.

In this case, I paired my new DKNY top with an old pair of slim fitting trousers and suede boots. I love the angular neckline of the top and wanted to pair it with bold accessories that complimented the avant garde feel of the piece. What would otherwise be quite an ordinary look, really takes on an interesting twist by adding a few unusual vintage pieces into the mix. Like the weird plastic horse we stumbled upon in the alley, sometimes the best looks come together by combining the most unlikely pieces.
