OUR CHARITY: QUEST FOR KINDNESS
“Quest For Kindness” is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was launched in 2019 by Dorrie Jacobson and her daughter, Jodi Jacobson. One of the charity’s primary goals is to help seniors who are experiencing loneliness and social isolation.
OUR MISSION
Loneliness is a growing epidemic that currently impacts 1 out of 4 older Americans. By organizing events that bring joy to seniors living in residential nursing homes, Quest For Kindness is working to create initiatives that change the way that older adults experience the final chapter of their lives. Our mission is to make sure that our older population does not feel abandoned or forgotten.
The world altering events of the recent pandemic, revealed that many seniors in carefacilities often face a critical lack of social interaction due to staffing shortages and underfunding. As a result, many elderly people spend their days isolated and alone with no one to interact with, leading to significant levels of depression and a diminished quality of life.
WHAT WE DO
We bring the party to seniors.
Quest For Kindness partners with Las Vegas based artists and entertainers to create unique parties and fun social activities for seniors who are feeling lonely, neglected, and forgotten while residing in nursing homes and care facilities.
Our events are designed to strengthen social interaction, encourage connectivity, and improve the mental health of seniors living in retirement communities.
CREATIVITY + AGING
Our programs encourage seniors to play and create.
We design activities that help seniors to reconnect with their inner child. We believe that you are never too old to create art, sing, dance, or play. Whether it’s playing with puppies, or playing games with friends, we think that everyone, regardless of age, should take time to play.
Ongoing research suggests that creativity may be key to healthy aging. Studies show that participating in activities such as singing, theatre performance and artprojects supports the well-being of older adults, and leads to greater longevity.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Community involvement is key to our mission to alleviate loneliness. Studies show that volunteering helps to reduce stress and anxiety, while serving to improve mental health. Giving back also allows people to foster new friendships through their participation in unique, shared experiences.
We encourage people of all ages to volunteer, because intergenerational connection is an enriching experience for both the young, and the old. By caring for our seniors, we are actually caring for our future selves.
Our mission continues to focus on using our influence to redefine the way society views aging.
