PRINTED PAIRING
Prints are experiencing a moment again, and I have to admit that this time around I have been unexpectedly seduced by them. For the past few decades I have actively avoided anything with a pattern. I’m not sure why….possibly it’s a hangover from all of the tie dye, floral, houndstooth and paisley we wore to death in the 70s. Whatever the reason, with the exception of a few stripes here, and a few polka dots there, I have lived quite a pattern free existence up until now, so my sudden affection for prints has taken me seriously by surprise.
I think what has won me over is the sophistication of the patterns that I’ve been seeing this season. They’re quite beautifully designed and feel like works of art rather than a bunch of mindless scribble on a piece of fabric. Although I have chosen to wear this Zara ensemble as a matching look, I will also be mixing and matching it with other prints as well. I’ve been noticing a lot of contrasting prints on the streets of fashion week, and when done well, I think it look incredibly chic and modern.

Oooh…considering I’m not usually a set girl, I love these two pieces together as they look like a perfect dress!! I am a print fan (it hides a multitude of sins) and sometimes i need to be reminded to buy solids! Glad you’re coming over to the dark side (ha ha)….jodie

Yes, it is quite a change for me! I’m still sticking to basic black with bold accessories but venturing out of my “dark side” fashion world is exciting once in a while. Thanks Jodi.
Absolutely wonderful, dress is beautiful. I love the pattern and design.
Yes, it was love at first sight. The pieces are beautifully designed and unusually well tailored considering the affordable price range of Zara”s
What a pretty dress, I love the pattern!

It is quite a change for me but I could not resist this one.
No need for “wow” accessories on this outfit. It is a statement piece all on it’s own
Me too. Zara has a winner with this one.
Unbelievable that this is Zara. Is it because you wear it? It looks like a million bucks. Love the bag with it.
And I am seduced by patterns as well. Bought a DvF dress with a wild pattern. Have got hardly any patterns in my closet. Like you, some stripes and dots, but that is it.

That is me, a closet full of stripes and dots and now, one print dress. I am a fan of DVF as well and have several pieces …..in solid colors. Now that I am out of my comfort zone I may try a printed wrap dress.
