OMBRE

I wore this outfit for a fun filled afternoon of shopping on Abbott Kinney Blvd. in Venice; one of my favorite areas in Los Angeles. It’s a pretty neighborhood, filled with charming boutiques and lots of trendy pubs, offering delicious cocktails.

One of the unique shops I always pop into when I’m here, is Ruti. This boutique carries beautiful clothing and jewelry from some wonderful Israeli designers. I found some “must have” pieces which made for a very successful shopping day. Ruti is also one of the only shops I have found outside of New York that carries my favorite line of shoes from United Nude.

The silk “ombre” top I’m wearing by Alice and Olivia is a very popular trend for spring, For those of you unfamiliar with the term “ombre”… it means shading, usually in a graduation of tone from light to dark, which allows for it to be paired with a number of different non-colors from white to gray to black.

I paired the top with black cropped pants, by Norma Kamali, and accessorized the outfit with a vintage silver belt, vintage black silk bag and silver wedges by Michael Kors.
