FUN FAUX FUR
I think every once in a while it’s a good idea for older women to step outside of their comfort zone and take a fashion risk. At some point most of us became concerned with dressing in a more “age appropriate” way and stopped having fun with fashion as a result. Taking a few risks puts the joy back in fashion. It allows us to be creative, colorful and a bit outrageous.
Faux fur was everywhere on the runway this season, most notably shown in vibrant colors and geometric patterns. I found this coat at H&M and couldn’t resist buying it because it’s such a complete departure from what I usually wear and I wanted to inject some color into my neutral wardrobe. Shops like Zara, H&M, Toyshop and Forever 21 are great places to source the latest trends without breaking the bank. I think when you take a risk, you should really go for it, but there’s no need to invest a lot of money in it.

Thank god for high street labels. Your faux fur piece here is beyond epic, Dorrie. What a masterful display of colour and texture. And those shoes are serious covet material.
One of our ladies sent me a photo of an absolute look alike coat priced at over $1,800 and it was a Faux fur! This coat at H&M was $120.00! So if you are going to go trendy do it a H&M.
Exactly. Why pay such a high price for something which isn’t timeless?
Great coat. Faux fur is such fun.
At the H&M price, I could afford this fun Wow piece.
Lookin’ Great!
Thanks If you want to turn heads this is the way to go!
You are a very adventurous woman. If I had seen that coat I would have been very tempted. But I wonder whether I would have had the balls (pun intended haha). I am rather conservative.

It was quite a break away from my usual style but fun being in clown colors for a change
